Join our adventure on the South Shore of Iceland! This combination Iceland tour includes heading to Sólheimajökull glacier, we combine our popular Glacier Walk in Sólheimajökull with an introduction to ice climbing. With your expert mountain guide you will explore the wonderous Sólheimajökull glacier. During your glacier walk in Iceland at Sólheimajökull glacier you will take in some of the most beautiful sights, such as, ridges, water cauldrons and deep crevasses.
It is then time for your introduction to ice climbing in Iceland, we will find a suitable location to rig up and your mountain guide will take you through ice climbing. This ice climbing experience is to give you a taste of ice climbing, it's a fun, relaxed experience with no pressure.
After all the excitement at Sólheimajökull glacier, you will have the opportunity to stop to marvel two impressive waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss.

You can choose to hire some optional extras such as jacket and trousers, and hiking boots, which we recommend you do if you don’t have any to bring with you. We also recommend that you bring warm clothing, hiking boots rain gear and something to eat.
The Sólheimajökull glacier walk in Iceland with ice climb has all year-round availability and the whole experience including transfers will last all day, approximately 10 hours but you will spend about 3 hours on the ice. Your Icelandic mountain guide will conduct the glacier tour in English. Glacier walking can be a little strenuous, therefore we do recommend that you are in good health to take part.
This tour perfectly combines the natural exploration of a glacier walking in Iceland with the thrill of ice climbing in a fun and accessible way.
